Nobel Prize-winner Yasunari Kawabata stayed at this traditional inn from 1934 to 1937 while he penned his classic novel Snow Country. At the Snow Country Document Display Room, a number of documents relating to the novel are on display, allowing the viewer to catch a glimpse of the world of Snow Country.
